BBCetc State Funded Program Helps Technology Companies Attract $80M to Michigan
BBC Entrepreneurial Training Corporation (BBCetc), a sister company to Biotechnology Business Consultants, recently reported to the Michigan Economic Development Corp. a 20 times return on investment from its 21st Century Jobs Fund award. The funding supports BBCetc's statewide SBIR and STTR training and related services, delivered in partnership with the Michigan SBTDC and Michigan’s SmartZones and universities.
Since launching the statewide SBIR/STTR consulting services program in 2002, BBCetc has helped Michigan businesses secure more than $80 million in non-dilutive federal funding, supporting an estimated 500 jobs in the state. Michigan companies participating in the program have secured federal funding at a rate of over two times the national average.
